Siri Institute of Painting has emerged as a powerful torch bearer and flagship in the field of art and in the teaching of art during the past
25 years of its existence. The object of SIRI is to spread the knowledge of painting with fierce commitment to those who join it. The group at SIRI comprises of the young and the old. Persons from different walks of life, professionals, employees of public and private organizations, people employed in business sector, students, teachers, house wives and others.
Senior Citizen who are in good number at SIRI are its backbone. Students whether young or old are treated here with great care. SIRI has conducted many art exhibitions in the city of Hyderabad and outside.
At SIRI the line drawn becomes a landmark. Here the shades shine, the sketch strengthens and colour crowns the painting where the mind and the hand are partners in expression.
Mr. Swamy is a native of Chirala town. He studied Fine Art in JNTU Hyderabad and later developed his skills under the guidance of Sri Dasari Yanadi Rao. His mission is to spread the passion of art among the people of all walks of life, so as to enable them to make their lives more meaningful. He was awarded a silver medal in All India NCC camp at New Delhi in 1988 and also received a highly commended Certificate from Hyderabad Art Society in 1999 and also received a Gold medal from Mata Amritanandamayi (Amma) in the year 2000. He exhibited his works in many Art exhibitions including ICCR Kala bhavan, in Ravindra Bharathi He painted and presented a portrait of then the Chief Minister of AP Shri Chandrababu Naidu in 1993. A life size painting of DR. N.T. Ramarao which was commissioned to be kept in N.T.R Museum, Hyderabad has won the hearts of the onlookers. Besides these works he had also painted Swamy Vivekananda for RajBhavan in 2003. He had painted the portrait of Late Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, in 2005 and also made a portrait of Dr. Akkineni Nageswararao in 2005 it self. He painted ex.Governor of AP K. Rosaiah’s portrait, when he inaugurated an art exhibition at State Art Gallery. His painting of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru is displayed in Balbhavan. His many works are kept in the homes of art lovers and private collectors in US and many other countries. Presently he along with his wife Smt. Siva Kumari, who is also an artist by herself, is running an Institute namely Siri Institute of Painting in Himayat Nagar and also at Jubilee Hills. He had been doing great service to the field of art for the young and Senior citizens.
Being an artist herself, Smt Sivakumari is a great support to Mr. Swamy and is helping him to fulfill his dream and training many students from all walks of life. Apart from painting in Oils, Acrylic and water colour, she also developed a skill in Tanjaore style of paintings. She conducted many workshops for students to teach Tanjaore style of paintings.. She had also developed the skill of clay painting with 3 dimensional effect on canvas and also with smooth sand applied on canvas as texture. She pursued her MFA Degree from KSOU/ Mysore. She had participated in many art exhibitions in Hyderabad and also in many parts of Andhra Pradesh. She had been awarded for her skill of painting in almost all the places wherever she exhibited her work. Her collections of Portraits of noted Personalities and many other paintings done for Interiors have been appreciated by one all. Apart from this she teaches Drawing and Oil Painting classes to the children and aged people and also Handicrafts work for House wives.
